Welding calculators
Number of joints by pipeline length, deposited metal mass from weld groove geometry, and welding consumables consumption. Physical quantities are computed from geometry formulas; the electrode consumption factor is set by you from the material data sheet or a standard.
Number of joints by pipeline length
Deposited metal mass and consumption
Enter the consumption factor Kr (from the electrode data sheet/standard) to get the welding consumables consumption. The norm is not set automatically.
About the calculations and sources
Deposited metal mass is calculated from the weld groove cross-sectional area (V-groove per GOST 16037) and the length of the circumferential weld. Consumables consumption norms and standard hours are not hard-coded into the calculator: the consumption factor is entered from the electrode data sheet or your own standard. Diameter and wall thickness can be taken from the pipe reference. See also the article “Composition of welding documentation”.
