How it is calculated
Meters per tonne = 1000 / mass of 1 linear m (kg/m). The mass of 1 linear m is taken from the profile's GOST sortament. Reverse conversion: mass (t) = length (m) × mass of 1 linear m / 1000. For rebar the mass matches the nominal-diameter formula: m = π·d²/4 · 7850 kg/m³.

Depends on the diameter: ⌀8 — 2532 m, ⌀10 — 1621 m, ⌀12 — 1126 m, ⌀16 — 634 m, ⌀20 — 406 m, ⌀25 — 260 m, ⌀32 — 158 m. Formula: 1000 / mass of 1 linear m per GOST 34028-2016.
How many meters of tube are in a tonne?
For example, tube 57×3.5 — 216.5 m per tonne, 89×3.5 — 135.5 m, 108×4 — 97.5 m, 159×4.5 — 58.3 m (GOST 10704-91). For another size, select it in the calculator above.
How to convert tonnes of steel products to meters?
Divide the mass in kilograms by the mass of 1 linear m of the profile: length (m) = mass (kg) / mass of 1 linear m (kg/m). For example, 2 t of channel 12P (10.4 kg/m): 2000 / 10.4 ≈ 192.3 m.
How to convert meters to tonnes?
Multiply the length by the mass of 1 linear m and divide by 1000: mass (t) = length (m) × mass of 1 linear m (kg/m) / 1000. For example, 150 m of angle 63x5 (4.81 kg/m): 150 × 4.81 / 1000 ≈ 0.72 t.
