Mass of 1 linear m and specific surface area are per GOST sortaments of steel products. During manufacturing, geometry deviations are allowed (tolerance range — in the corresponding GOST/TU).
Data source
The mass of steel products is per GOST sortaments (and others). The weight of non-ferrous and stainless products is recalculated by material density (mass = mass of the steel profile × ρ/7850; the cross-sectional area does not depend on the material) — the density used is shown in the table. For painting steel structures, there is a painting area calculator (anti-corrosion coating).
